The Filon Médoc workshop in Talais: 3D printers lined up, spools of colourful PLA filament and finished pieces on the wooden bench
📍 Talais, Médoc
Designed, printed and finished on site

One workshop, two enthusiasts,
a local standard

Filon Médoc is a human-sized outfit born from a simple conviction: you can make quality objects, customised and affordable, without shipping them halfway round the planet. Our workshop sits in Talais, in the north of the Médoc, a stone's throw from the estuary.

A 3D designer specialised in bespoke modelling and an IT & communications expert: that complementarity lets us support you from design to delivery, without ever subcontracting. All our printers run here, every parcel leaves from here.

3D printing
should also mean printing responsibly

At Filon Médoc, the environmental approach is not a marketing line. It is a founding choice.

🌿

PLA: a plant-based plastic

We print exclusively in PLA (polylactic acid), a bioplastic derived from corn or sugarcane starch. Bio-sourced and biodegradable, it is a concrete alternative to petrochemical plastics.

♻️

Zero manufacturing waste

3D printing is an additive process: material is laid down layer by layer, only where it is needed. The result: almost no offcuts, unlike traditional machining or plastic injection.

📍

Local production, minimal footprint

Made in Talais, delivered across the Médoc and beyond. By cutting out international logistics chains, we drastically reduce the carbon footprint of every object produced. Short supply chains, 3D edition.

Local and eco-friendly
vs imported giveaways.

Compare it objectively: for the same quantity, what you gain by choosing a French workshop rather than an order from an Asian catalogue.

Custom keyrings made for my company NovaCycle Négoce in Saint-Vivien-de-Médoc. The team is really professional, they made prototypes before production so I could approve them, and the result is stunning! The fact that it is made in the Médoc and that it is eco-friendly is brilliant! Thank you Filon Médoc!

What professionalism from this young team: design and speed, both spot on! I warmly recommend this Médoc business for all your advertising projects. In my case, some very lovely keyrings with a QR code carrying the name of my restaurant, Le LB in Soulac.

Your questions,
our straight answers.

The questions that come up most often before a first project with us.

What is the minimum quantity I can order?
For custom keyrings, we start at 50 pieces. For NFC stands or bespoke pieces (vases, holders, sculptures), a single piece is enough. No prohibitive minimum: we adapt to what you actually need.
How long will my order take?
Allow 1 to 3 weeks depending on quantity and products, once the brief is agreed. The 3D design and prototype phase takes a few days beforehand. If it is urgent (an event, a trade show), tell us: we can speed things up.
Do you make genuinely one-off pieces (a single item)?
Yes. An event trophy, a sculpture for a birthday, a prototype to validate an industrial project, a bespoke replica… Our designer works from your references, from a sketch, or even from an idea described over the phone.
Which files do you accept for the design?
All vector formats (SVG, AI, PDF, EPS) and high-resolution logos (PNG, JPG ≥ 1500 px). If all you have is a poor-quality logo, or no file at all, we redraw it properly: that is included in the quote for production runs.
Can I see a prototype before production?
Yes, that is our standard. Before starting a run, you first approve a 3D visual render, then a physical printed piece. No surprises on delivery: you receive exactly what you approved.
Are the NFC chips reprogrammable?
Yes, you can change the URL for life from your smartphone. Moving premises, changing your Google reviews page or your Instagram? Reprogram the chip in 10 seconds, without asking us for a new stand.
Do you deliver across France?
Anywhere in France and Europe via Colissimo or Mondial Relay (your choice). For the Médoc and Gironde, hand delivery is possible, and free on larger orders.
Why PLA rather than another material?
PLA is bio-sourced (from corn or sugarcane), biodegradable in industrial compost, and gives an exceptional finish for decorative and promotional objects. For very technical uses (high temperature, mechanical stress), we also offer PETG or nylon: let's talk it through.
Do you really build websites too?
Yes, and in the same spirit as the workshop: 100% bespoke, made by hand. Brochure sites, online bookings, shops: prices published from €1,200, mockup approved before any development, plans with no lock-in. And if you order your website alongside 3D objects, the 3D printing part gets 15% off. Discover the web studio.
